Steampunk arrested for protest twitters

This is beyond fucking stupid.

Basically, there were some hairy protests in Pitsbourg over the G20 shit, and this dude was twittering police movements to better coordinate protesters. Call that good tactics, call it obstruction of justice, really just which side of the fence you're on. Also, the dude in question is an avowed anarchist and writer for Steampunk Magazine.

Anyway, he's up on felony charges. They also raided his house, smashed up the place, killed his bird, and confiscated critical anarchist materials like Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVDs.

And rather than close this with something like, "god I fucking hate pigs," I'll instead point out that twitter and other social tech were critical tools used recently in other protests, like Iran.
